In this article, you will find out how a new control point for your company can be created in SupplyOn. This is useful if your company is receiving POs, delivery instructions, etc. by multiple customers in SupplyOn and some users should only receive e-mails and POs for specific customers. In this case, a control point for each customer can be created and the users can be assigned accordingly. Please be aware that your customer will have to be informed after a new control point has been created, so that the system can be adapted accordingly. After the new control point has been successfully created, the users need to be assigned to it according to this article.
Prerequisites:
A control point can only be created by users that have the role "ControlPointAdmin" assigned.
Roles can be assigned by the user-administrators in SupplyOn.
In this article you find an instruction on how to find out who your user-administrator is and this article provides instructions on how to assign user roles.
Please login to Supplyon and go to "Administration" and click on "Logistics Settings".
Next, click on the house shaped symbol in the column "CPs" next to the subordinate entry (small cube symbol in column 'Type').
Click on "Create New Control Point" on the right-hand side.
Enter the information for all mandatory fields and then click on "Save" on the top or on the bottom of the page in order to create the new control point.
After the new control point has been created, your customer, for which the control point has been created needs to be informed about the Control Point ID, so that the system can be adapted accordingly. Now, you can assign the desired users to the new control point according to the information provided in this article. It is generally recommended to leave all users deposited within the previous control point until it is guaranteed that the POs, etc. can successfully be sent to the new control point. Once this is ensured, the users can be removed from the previous control point and will now only receive the notifications, POs, etc. for the control point for their respective customer.
