This article shows how to activate the automatic assignment of ASN numbers.
When creating a new ASN (advanced shipping notification) a shipping notification number must usually be entered first so that the notification can be uniquely identified. You can fill in this mandatory field manually or have the system fill it in using the automatic shipping notification number assignment.
This setting is made by your company's Control Point Administrator. Below you will find brief instructions on how to do this.
Log in as Control Point Administrator at www.supplyon.com and navigate to 'Logistics settings'.
Click on the house symbol in the column 'CPs' of the subordinate unit (small cube symbol).
Click on a Control Point name in the table.
Click on 'Change details' in the 'CP details' tab.
In the section 'Further logistics data' you can set the automatic assignment of the ASN number, FPA number and invoice number by checking the box 'Automatic assignment' and entering a start number (e.g. 1) in the corresponding line.
After you have saved your entries by clicking on 'Save', a consecutive shipping notification number is automatically assigned for each new shipping notification.
